A walk in the park with a flying camera

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has provided the author of this article with the mentioned digital imaging device.
Well today my mother and me went on a walk in the wildlife park near my house. The sky was a great clear Colorado day with a light breeze. The park itself is in between some farms in the area and there we were able to see some cows and horse up close. It was real fun and while I was there I ended up trying to make little animation with NX11.
I did this by taking a whole bunch of photos as I walked and strung them together on my computer. The videos are playing at 6 frames per second if your interested. The first one came out ok, but I think I started to figure it out as I went along. One of them turned out so bad though I’m to embarrass to show you, but I have 4 others that are pretty neat.
Here take a look!
This was my first try. I think it came out ok, but a bit boring to watch.
This is my second attempt at sequencing pictures together. My third attempt didn’t come out well at all, so I’ll skip it and go to my 4th attempt.
This is a flip.
I thought this one came out really well. It is my last attempt at making a sequence animation while I was walking on this trip. But, after doing this I’m really interested in trying again and I hope you enjoyed watching them.

EP2. ST1000(CL65) meets Twitter

Hi! It’s been a while since the last posting. Last time, we took a look at geotagging using Intelli Studio. Today we are going to take a look at uploading the geotagged photos directly to twitter using ST1000(CL65).
ST1000(CL65) has built-in functions that enables you to use Wi-fi to upload pictures to Picasa, Facebook, YouTube and Samsungimaging.com. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support updating pictures to Twitter. That is why I want to guide you through how to use the e-mail function in ST1000(CL65) and Flickr2Twitter to upload pictures.
First, go to Flickr2Twitter(http://www.flickr.com/account/blogs/add/twitter) to sign up for an e-mail account. If you use the e-mail function of ST1000(CL65) using this e-mail account, you can upload both to Twitter and Flickr. This is how you do it step by step.

Move to the Authorize page of Flickr2Twitter.

Select ‘Allow’, of course.

If you are done with this process, you will receive an e-mail account that allows you to
update using mobile device.

I guess you had no problem following me up to this point, right? Now, let’s turn on ST1000(CL65). Go to Wireless Networking Mode.

Using the e-mail account you received, send the pictures via Wi-fi. After a few minutes, you will be able to see that the pictures have been uploaded to your Twitter and Flickr account.

However, Flickr will only show a message saying that the photo has been sent from ST1000(CL65). You simply need to correct this at Flickr.
If you were to activate the GPS function, you will be able to record the location of the photos you took using Flickr.
Of course, with ST1000(CL65), you can use Intelli Studio to upload directly to Flickr or to Facebook.
In the next post, I will introduce how to share geotagged photos using Picasa. Of course, if you have any questions or know-how, please do not hesitate to comment!

[Part 8] Tommy & Tiky : Intelli-Studio

01s02s

If it’s a perfect film, it’s impossible to not have sound.
Click ‘Insert Sound’ on your left menu, then click ‘Find File’ to select a sound file.011

Remind yourself that Intelli-studio only supports either ‘mp3’ or ‘wma’ sound files.
Then you can see the file that you selected. Click ‘Apply’.021

Selected file appears on sound track and goes into the ‘Timeline Mode’ automatically.031

Move mouse cursor on the end of the file to adjust length of the sound. Mouse cursor is going to change into the arrow figure. Click and drag the file to adjust the length. 041

You can control the place when you click and drag the middle part of the file.051

You can control the place when you click and drag the middle part of the file.03s04s

Ok. Now you’ve made plausible movie like this. Don’t forget to save it!
This is the ‘Save’ button.
072

You can select the saving form from those three methods.082

Let’s take a look from the top.

1. Save As General Movie Format
You can save as ‘mp4’, ‘wmv’, or the format for iPod so you can also watch from general PC.
When the window pops up, select ‘File Type’, ‘Resolution’, and ‘Quality’ and click ‘Convert’. Then you are done with producing movie. (If you want resolution of HD level, select 1920X1080 or 1280X720.)09

2. Save As Camcorder Format
This is the saving method that you can watch this movie in other Samsung camcorders too.
Choose the camcorder type that you want and click ‘Convert’. 10

3. Save As Project File
‘Project File’ means the file that still has some process to do. If you have the movie that you want to edit it later, save as this format then you can edit it again whenever you want.
Select folder that you want to save, and it’s done.

Wow. I feel like now I can make interesting movies easily with Intelli-studio.
Well, it’s done now for movie but this is not the end.05s

Next time, we’ll find out how to edit photo files.
