A walk in the park with a flying camera

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has provided the author of this article with the mentioned digital imaging device.
Well today my mother and me went on a walk in the wildlife park near my house. The sky was a great clear Colorado day with a light breeze. The park itself is in between some farms in the area and there we were able to see some cows and horse up close. It was real fun and while I was there I ended up trying to make little animation with NX11.
I did this by taking a whole bunch of photos as I walked and strung them together on my computer. The videos are playing at 6 frames per second if your interested. The first one came out ok, but I think I started to figure it out as I went along. One of them turned out so bad though I’m to embarrass to show you, but I have 4 others that are pretty neat.
Here take a look!
This was my first try. I think it came out ok, but a bit boring to watch.
This is my second attempt at sequencing pictures together. My third attempt didn’t come out well at all, so I’ll skip it and go to my 4th attempt.
This is a flip.
I thought this one came out really well. It is my last attempt at making a sequence animation while I was walking on this trip. But, after doing this I’m really interested in trying again and I hope you enjoyed watching them.

Great opportunity to experience the NX11

Samsung received enthusiastic feedbacks from those who experienced this workshop. They left warm thank-you notes. Below are some of the notes that were left:

Michael Kirchner : Once more I would like to say thank you for the felicitous NX11 workshop. I’m curious to test the NX11 during the next weeks.

Oliver Schäf : Thank you for the great opportunity! Generally speaking, I’m positively surprised by the NX11.

Steffen Göthling : Now I’m using the NX11 regularly and my little daughter fell in love with it as well!

Through this street art tour in Berlin, Samsung could get a good opportunity to place Samsung’s key messages and to introduce Samsung as one of the leading digital camera companies to social media. Moreover, it was a great time to meet the key online influencers and to establish good relationships with them.

New and distinctive features of the newly launched 2View cameras

Hi! It’s So-Young again!
We are in full spring mode now with much warmer weather and blossoming flowers. How are you all enjoying the spring weather? It’s a good time to go outside with your family or a date. I hope you make lasting memories this spring.
As if to celebrate the coming of spring, Samsung has launched new 2View cameras: the PL120, PL170, and ST700. The actual launch timing may vary by region. The new products are armed with cool new functions on top of the front LCD, a key differentiator of 2View cameras. For those who are curious to learn about the new features and differences by model, I will go over those today.

For more detailed specifications of each camera, click on the link below.
Specifications of the PL120
Specifications of the PL170
Specifications of the ST700
1. Magic Frame

One of the key differences of the ST700, PL170, and PL120 models compared to the ones released last year would definitely be the Magic Frame function. Using the 12 special background frameworks, you can come up with unique photos effects such as Wall Art, Old Film, Ripple, Full Moon, Old Record, Magazine, Sunny Day, Classic TV, Yesterday, Holiday, and Billboard 1,2. Just like the ones above! These functions will definitely spice up your photos!
2. Smart Filter

The ST600 and ST100 offered six Smart Filter functions: Miniature, Vignetting, Fish-eye filter 1 & 2, Sketch, and Defog. The ST700, PL170, and PL120 models offer additional functions: Old Film 1 & 2, Soft Focus, Half Tone Dot, Classic, Retro, and Negative Filter. With such a wide variety of Smart Filter choices in your hands, you will be able to produce expert-like photos.
3. Touch Screen

The back LCD displays for the ST700, ST600, and ST100 is touch display, just like a smartphone. For those used to using a touchscreen, I recommend the ST series. Meanwhile, the new PL170 and PL120 come with a main display of 3.0 inch and 2.7 inch respectively, with buttons on the right side for control. So, pick and chose a stylish compact camera of your taste to capture portraits of daily events as well as splendid and grand landscapes!
I hope my posting helped to answer some of your questions on the new 2View cameras.
You can also visit the 2View Facebook page for sample photos and photos taken using the Magic Frame and Smart Filter in the photo album and wall.
You can also share your own photos taken with the 2View camera, so make sure to visit, look around, and share your story!
That’s it for today. Until the next 2View class, bye bye!

It’s been two years!

Samsung Electronics Co.,Ltd. has provided the author of this article with the mentioned digital imaging device.
Time is flying relentlessly fast. I’ve just thought I was here two years now. Different things were happening at that time, a lot has changed. In some areas, have made good progress in the other, unfortunately, failed to change anything. Fortunately, it can always be better – I hope so.
In connection with my presence on this blog, I had the opportunity lead a workshops: “Photoblog – how to present your photos online?”. Conducting such a meeting was quite a challenge, because I never did anything like that. On the fourth occasion already gone quite well. I will say that even much I loved it :)
Workshops were conducted during the photo festival. Samsung was the patron of the event.

Going back to my presence on this blog, it all started in April 2009. Then I received the camera WB1000 – I did it a lot of pictures, now, my wife took the camera:) Here are a lot of photos taken WB1000.

Therefore, that enjoyed the photos I received after some time the next proposal. It was a long-awaited and shrouded in mystery Samsung NX10. I will tell you that this is a super feeling to have something that many have heard of but nobody has ever seen it.
With NX has already done more than 10,000 pictures, and soon I am going for a long awaited vacation, so probably will bring a few hundred pictures. Someone might say that 10,000 is not enough, but I still have a second camera  Samsung EX1 counter shows more than 4000 :D
One of my photographic achievements is to get into well-known Getty Images – I currently have over 180 pictures for sale. Of course, I invite you to buy ;)

2View Camera – Play with the Front LCD!

Hi there! It’s So-Young!
Following the previous postings on Children Mode and Smart Filter, today’s posting will be on the 2View camera. Today, I will go over how to take pictures using front LCD, which is one of the most distinctive features and benefits of the Samsung 2View camera.
The 2View camera has a front LCD uniquely catering to self-shooting, a feature that users, who enjoy self-shooting, will welcome with zeal. With the 2View camera, you can not only take self-shots, but also get a sneak preview of group photos. Are you ready to learn about how to have fun with the front LCD? If you are, then buckle up!
Self Timer
Samsung’s 2View camera line-up includes the most recent ST700, PL170, PL120 and the ST600, ST100, ST550(TL225), ST500(TL220), PL150(TL210), and PL100(TL205).
Here are some fascinating shooting modes that you can use with the front LCD.
First, turn on the camera and the front LCD. If you press the front LCD, you can choose from Self-shot, Children Mode, Couple Shot, and Jump Shot.
FLCD ALL
1) Self-Shot
With self-shot mode, you can take pictures of yourself using the front LCD, just like when you’re looking into the mirror. That’s not all! When the camera recognizes a face, a square box automatically appears at the size of the face. Smile brightly and the camera will go off automatically without having to press the button!
Do you know any good tips on how to take a good self-shot? Here is one.
Hold up your camera at about 45 degrees higher so that your face is lower than the camera, tuck your chin in and open your eyes widely. Your chin will appear narrower, your eyes bigger and your face smaller!
SELF SHOT
2) Children
The Samsung 2View camera has come up with a bright idea to have young children focus: play a fun animation video on the front LCD!
Have you ever had to shout to your child, “Look here! Smile~ No, here!” until you got a satisfactory smile? The Samsung 2View camera is the answer for those parents struggling to capture beautiful moments of their child.
children
That is not all! On top of the default Pororo animation, you can also download other versions of the animation…

3) Couple Shot
With the Couple Shot mode, the camera will automatically take pictures if it senses that two faces are in close proximity. Make sure to use the front LCD to add love spice to the picture! With the Samsung 2View camera, you no longer have to ask a passerby to take your photos.
COUPLE SHOT
4) Jump Shot
Have you ever dreamed of flying? The Jump Shot mode from the 2View camera ensures perfect timing to capture your jump– just when you appear to be flying up to the sky!
Don’t you find head-on stand-still photos to be a bit boring? Try the Jump Shot mode to add fun and excitement to the photo! Spread your arms wide like a little child and JUMP! Worried that the camera will shake too much? No worries! The smart 2View will take care of it. Set the camera to Jump Shot and press the shutter. The front LCD has a countdown of five seconds. When an upward facing arrow(↑) appears, then jump! The camera will take three consecutive shots for a fun result.
JUMP SHOT
The cool multi-functional 2View camera offers a wide variety of choices for its users. Capture your memorable moments with the Samsung 2View camera! The 2View camera is ready to help you create fond memories.
So, that is it with ‘Play with the Front LCD!’ I will return with other useful tips. Until then, bye~bye!
