For people in the modern world, morning refers to the time from when you wake up to when you begin work. Although the bulk of the time is spent doing mechanical technical, automated and limited activities, just like anything else in the world, there are different vintage points to one phenomenon.
The romanticists recommend ‘Morning, the starting point of a day’, which gives a clear analysis of the morning time to beginners and ‘Morning, five minutes for a happier life’ for professionals which takes a more macro view. Documentary DVDs such as ‘Breakfast and happy day’ have also been very popular among the younger segment – or that is what they argue.
The skeptic circle, on the other hand, completely denies this - they are even speculating that the DVD mentioned above was bundled with cereal boxes for kids – and recommends the classic ‘Going to work? Go to hell’ as a must-read to the absent-minded people of today. They also issued a statement avidly supporting the recently launched movie ‘Hangover, heartburn and credit card receipt’, praising how aptly the work illustrates the pathos of morning.
In this tense conflict that can be compared to the Soviet Union and the U.S. during the cold era, the Unification circle is throwing shocking waves throughout. Their simple slogan - ‘weekend breakfast’ – is sending small but strong wave in the two circles.
The romanticists published ‘Theory of depression’, an excellent work describing how one becomes depressed from the morning of Sunday thinking that tomorrow is Monday, while the skeptic circle’s paper of ‘Occasionally idle morning’ that says ‘Isn’t Saturday morning still pleasant’, sparking a fierce debate. (In particular, the reaction from the hawkers, the weekend workers, is known to have been especially fierce.)
However, the dominant view is that the analysis by Unification doesn’t deserve serious attention because it fails to catch the essence as it is exposed to a very limited situation. As such, there is still a long way to go before establishing a ‘Unified Theory of Morning’, but we still have hopes as signs of convergence are being witnessed, especially among the younger scholars.

Samsung ST550(TL225) and ST500(TL220)
The Samsung ST550(TL225) and ST500(TL220) bring the latest in compact camera innovation to consumers with Dual LCD screens on the front and back, offering twice the fun of any camera and allowing the user to take photographs they simply couldn’t take before. The growing popularity of social networking sites has given rise to the self-portrait or profile picture with many consumers turning their digital camera on themselves to become the subject of their photo.
The 1.5” LCD now on the front of the ST550(TL225) and ST500(TL220) allows consumers to take these self-portraits and profile pictures with ease, showing the user exactly what the picture will look like, enabling the desired result every time. Incorporating a 3.5” wide, 1,152K resolution touch-screen LCD, the ST550(TL225) delivers one of the highest resolution screens available on a digital camera. July. The so called ‘Holiday season’! Where do you want to go for vacation? When you return from vacation to your ordinary life, the flood of fatigue and work wait us. It is only time that can console us. Well, at least for Ca’em. Hehe. Vacation season! You will probably clicking away madly with your camera under the burning sun, but you always get disappointed if the results are not that satisfactory.
In fact, the scorching sunlight is not a welcomed guest for photo shooting. Then, what about a gray sky in a rainy day? Not a welcomed guest neither for vacation nor for outdoor shooting. This week, Ca’em plans to share tips on how to effectively take photos in extreme conditions. Let’s take a shot at clear and crisp photos that you can successfully take even when you don’t have an expensive DSLR. Pictures so cool that appear ready to freeze your eyes regardless of the camera. Let’s take a look at example pictures and a few tips on how to take clear pictures.
If you want clear pictures, you first need a clear and bright sky. Even with divine skills and perfect knowledge, if you are not lucky with the weather, you cannot get a nice picture. A blue sky is a good example of a clear landscape that you can easily find around you. The earth is hot due to the hot summer sun but the blue sky is ever bluer. In terms of the season, the sky is bluer in the dry autumn and winter, when the air carries less impurity compared to spring and summer. However, it is still boring to capture the blue sky alone. You have to have at least a good few white pieces of cloud to make it more interesting. A summer sky cleared up after the rain is indeed a gift from nature.
I have tatken those pictures when I’ve been Tokyo. See?? You must know that the important of weather.
Secondly, it is important to make it a habit to check the weather when you plan to take pictures. You can easily go online to check weather information real-time. You can obtain basic information such as the time of sun rise, sunset, as well as visibility and ceiling. You can check the ceiling info on Yahoo weather or The weather networks.
Lastly, set exposure to under and use saturation for more vivid blue color. Set the exposure 1 or 2 levels lower than the appropriate exposure. In other words, setting the mode a little darker as if lacking some exposure, produces good output. In general, objects are expressed darker when the exposure is a little insufficient. Considering that overexposure obscures the original color and whitens the picture, it is not difficult to understand that under exposure adds depth to the color.
As an exercise, Ca’em set the image size to 7M(3648*2056) and tried saturation and contrast to avoid overexposure from the strong sun reflection and to highlight the achromatic color object. The image size made the photo appear much fuller, quite different from what you get from full image size. Something like a full picture, closer to the object or capturing only the gist of a remote landscape. Sometimes, slimming down the photo is a good way to produce good outcome.

WB500, which supports 10.2 mega pixels, is a good choice to express the inherent colors of objects. However, quality pictures require some busy ass moving. Depending on the weather, the camera should be set up accordingly. Because WB500 supports wide angle lens, it has a dark lens. To complement this, adjust the saturation value under “effect” depending on the object. Set the exposure value to 0.0 under Program AE and adjust saturation value to High/Medium/Normal at effect. The outcome has been quite effective in conveying the original color of the object. Hmmmm.. is it because the object is yellow and green? The color constract is breathtaking. :)

!!! One watch-out before going further! Serious underexposure risks making the object appear dark. Set the exposure to ‘under’ depending on the feel you want to get across or the surrounding environment, but still within the range of appropriate exposure. Meanwhile, you can also play around with the “auto bracketing”, which takes photos under the three settings of underexposure, appropriate and overexposure, and HDR (#Post13) that combines these three photos, so don’t be hesitant to try various exposures! However, I recommend using a tripod for AEB because it takes long time to store and hand shake is likely to occur…!!!
The pictures below are all shots using underexposure and saturation high. The wart dancing elegantly on the flower petal, a ship floating on a calm river.. These are all scenes you cannot see in the city. Vacation - a sweet escape from the busy reality. If you have yet to decide your vacation destination, a place with open skies would be nice. I truly recommend it to people looking for beautiful landscape and vivid pleasant memories in this hot hot summer. Before you depart, though, check your batteries and don’t forget to bring drinking water and a towel to block the sun! That’s it for today.

The subject of today’s class was tarte. To make a delicious pie crust, our teacher put in the same portion of cake flour and butter so I had a really tough time fitting the pie crust into the tarte mold.
The crust was so loose that I had to sprinkle huge amount of flour to prevent it from sticking to the board, and eventually the tarte ended up becoming hard. I wouldn’t have gone through so much trouble if I had added enough flour in the first place!
This chocolate tarte is the finished product after all that fuss. It’s sprinkled heavily with cocoa powder so when you bite into it, the cocoa powder gets all on your teeth but it was so sweet and delicious.

This is a banana walnut tarte. It’s filled with banana boiled down in caramel syrup and decorated with walnuts on top. It’s so~~ good.

This is cream puffs pie. On the edge of the pie crust, I’ve squeezed out the choux paste, filled it with custard and topped it with whipped cream. The savoriness of the pie and the cream puffs and the sweetness of the cream make a fabulous combination and it was so delicious!

This is the mini version of the cream puffs pie made with leftover crust. They look like spaceships, don’t you think? :) In Japan, people buy lot more of the individual pieces as to a whole cake.

I’ve made a simple cake in a long time. It’s layered with whipped cream and chocolate cream between the sponges and then the surface is coated with caramel. It’s simple to make but totally delicious.

This is a blueberry cake with lots of blueberry jam in it.
On the bottom layer are apples boiled down in sugar so it’s refreshing and delicious.

This is a chocolate cake made with using the same sponge as the one above but layered with different cream. It wasn’t easy to spread a thin layer of cream on each layer but definitely worth the effort.

It specializes in tendon (shortened word for tempura donburi) and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s so good that I would recommend tendon over sushi to foreign tourists.
The music you are listening to is the worst. Believe me, it’s the sound from hell – although I haven’t been there.
What about the movies you like! I won’t say they are the worst. Let me just say that it’s second to my uncle’s wedding video that I’ve watched over 20 times. (Still, your movie was the worst up to the 15th rerun of the video)
And your clothes? Why don’t you wear a box or look through a trash can instead? You surely can find something better than that!
Of your favorite food, the only one that I managed to swallow was that pizza topped with mayonnaise and mustard. I even thought about writing an anonymous article to a newspaper but I didn’t.
And the magazines you read. True, I appreciated that fact that you did any reading. Until I realized what kind of magazines they were! If I become a dictator, the first person to be put on death penalty will be the CEO of the magazine company. Of course, you wouldn’t be safe either, being a subscriber.
