While sounds of guitar and drums were running trough every bone in my body, while thousands and

thousands of people were waving in one rhytm i saw a guy with tears in his eyes, I saw romantic

hugs and hidden touches of lovers…and i thought how i felt the same before, long time ago I felt

something so deep and pure. You know the feeling when your heart beats so fast that you’re afraid

that everyone around you will hear? You know the feeling when your’re having terrible stomack

pains and being wicked excited because you gonna see your love in few hours?

As we getting older it seems like we are running away from our nature, we are busy.

For some reason we stop believing, worst of all we stop dreaming and we are using shortcuts and

start running for instant satisfactions in all aspects of our lifes. And i guess, we start making strange

compromise, even it’s our own life the one we have!

After all, we have been told “Get real! This is 21th century. Life is too short”!

I agree.

But it was so great last night.

it was so great to stop for a moment with all that running, go back into the past life when people

were more romantic, when we had more time, when we had time for anticipation, enough desire and

will to enjoy in every second with the special one.

This morning i woke up confused, with mixed thoughts and feelings.

I had a feeling that even weather was confused like I am. Strange combination of 15 degrees

Celsisus in the middle November and heavy fog like in coldest winter days. And me…21th century

girl with heart and emotions locked in 80’. I was waiting for a bus for job, trying to clean my head

and get ready for “swimming with sharks” in corporate world, but i couldn’t clean my head from

unforgetable moments i expirienced only few hours before.

Even Celebs of ‘VH1 Divas 2009’ loved ST550(TL225)!

On September 17th, one of the biggest cable channels for music in US – VH1 – had their annual event called ‘VH1 Divas 2009’ and Samsung ST550(TL225) was there for divas!

‘VH1 Divas’ event started from 1998 with pop divas. VH1 invites pop divas of the year and let fans choose who is the diva for them. Not only that, it’s also the chance that fans can watch the fascinating performances of their divas. Pop divas show their unique performances in this event. This year, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Paula Abdul, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Leona Lewis, and Jordin Spark showed their fantastic performances. Fans? VH1 made a section for extra photos of divas taken by ST550(TL225) on its website. On the bottom of the page, VH1 also made little poll game says, “Which Celebs are HOT and which are NOT? Tell Us!” When you play the game, every pop divas of this year shows up and the result of voting shows up after finish the game. Currently, top five divas are Leona, Miley, Adele, Kelly, and Jennifer.

Seems like celebs are enjoying ST550(TL225)’s self-portrait function just like everyone else around the world. ST550(TL225) had fun with celebs of ‘VH1 Divas 2009’ too!

Have a self portrait shot down cold at age 40! Samsung Dual LCD ST550(TL225)

Feel good.

It feels good maybe because of the comfortable grip having a detailed stable curved line. It is good to take a self portrait shot with one hand and to have a grip feeling rolled up by one hand. The barely visible curve finishing gives flair.

There are power, shutter, zoom and playback buttons on the top. For the power button, the LED turns on with blue color, which is Samsung camera’s distinctive feature, tells you when it is on or off. The lens part is protruding with maximum 18mm.

There is a slot for battery and memory card at the bottom. The battery is SLB-07A and 3.7V 720mAhLi-ion. I have to check how long it will last but it probably does not last long enough if both LCDs are used for a self portrait shot, which worries me. In the manual, it says that 200 pieces are possible.

The memory is Micro SD and it reads 8GB easily.

On the center of the bottom, there is a terminal for HDMI, charge and USB. It is a consideration for HDMI but it was convenient for the ST50 to have 20PIN terminal that can be used for the cell phone. For this new camera, you have to carry its own cable. Personally I wonder why HDMI is needed if Samsung want this new camera be recognized for its easiness to carry around and self portrait shot feature.

If they think that is really necessary, why didn’t they just provide 20PIN terminal in a gender type?

It looks a little bit bigger than other appliances. I think that is because of the dual LCD. That is why the grip feeling is much better improved.

A 3.5-inch touchscreen without having unnecessary buttons looks stylish compared with the previous works, ST50.

What I want to say the most is

There is no one who cannot take a self portrait shot now. Usually it is difficult for a camera holder to take a picture including him or her in it. Don’t you agree? Only one or two pictures after taking a picture for your family or friends? You feel sometimes that they are too mean. Now you can take your portrait show adjusting a composition, color and etc.

How to take a self portrait shot

1. Turn the power on

2. Tap the front

3. Stand on a nice place

4. Press the shutter button looking at the LCD.

It’s very easy, isn’t it?

Strengths and Weaknesses of the ST550(TL225)

I wrote a simple review laying stress on first thoughts and the look while using it for the last 5days. I’ll give you more detailed explanation after using it more, but it is for sure that it feels great at first. It is also the first time for me to see a very fun camera. I played with this alone for some hours.

Strengths

Most of all, dual LCD, touchscreen, wide angle, comfortable grip, solid weight (this may be different to person) and neat design.

Weaknesses

You have to carry a charge cable for the camera. Tapping the front makes it easy to have scratches (a protective film is a must-have)

‘Unbeatable’ gave ST550(TL250) 10 out of 10

ST550(TL225) got full marks from UK’s well-known gadget website, ‘Unbeatable’.

On the editor review of ST550(TL225), ‘Unbeatable’ stated that ST550(TL225) is an innovative camera. Dual LCD screen makes people easy to take self-portrait, and the quality of photograph is also great. Furthermore, the review says that ST550(TL225) not only has brilliant smart features but it also has unique, attractive design.

‘Unbeatable’ has five criteria – picture quality, battery life, setup simplicity, build quality, and ease of use – and ST550(TL225) got all perfect marks from those criteria. It also stated only Pros for ST550(TL225) for DualView LCD front & back, 12.2 mega pixels, Smart Gesture feature, and 27mm Wide angle lens.

It is great pleasure for us to get such a good result from ‘Unbeatable’.

Halloween in Colombia

Halloween is one of the big holiday in Colombia. Every year the 31st of October, people dress up in costumes and face paint or special make up for Halloween. Even workers in office and stores, they also wear funny costumes. Their costumes are so interesting. Those are from animals, a superman, fairies, witches, princesses, soldiers and cartoon characters.

“Trick or treat?” Children have a small parade with pumpkin lanterns and parents bring their children to the mall to go from store to store where treats are handed out to them. Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy or sweets, with that question.

ST550(TL225) & ST500(TL220) hit Australia!

ST550(TL225) & ST500(TL220) revealed its look at the Australia’s biggest shopping chain, Westfield Burwood shopping center.

Samsung brand shops in Australia co-operated the promotion and proceeded for 4 days from October 15th to 18th.

They provided accessory package worth around 60 dollars to consumers. Samsung performed connecting products to TV to show interactions and built large Columbus kiosk to meet with customers. They also did PR about tap & take and distributed fliers and pamphlets.

The result was great!
Since the feedback of the promotion was good, Samsung Australia will prepare for the year-end event at large shopping malls in Sydney.

Crazy night out

I had waited, waited, and waited for Halloween Parade so badly. The weather on that day, however, did not stand by me. It was RAINING!!!!!

The Halloween Parade in West Village was planned to start at 6 pm but was postponed for an hour due to the weather. I managed to complete my own costume by 7 pm and took pictures with my coworkers to celebrate a happy Halloween. (I work at the computer lab on campus)

My costume is a female Korean historical entertainer from 16 century, Hwang Jin Yi. Korean fashion designer, Younghee Lee, actually inspired me and I adopted most of the design from her. It was a shame that I couldn’t finish a gorgeous hat for my hair and traditional type of handbag. But I could comfort myself being proud of the fact that I made the dress by myself. In the middle, my supervisor Patrick is being a western cowboy, and my Japanese friend Mariko is acting as Marie, a cat character from Disney animation, The Aristocats.

So I hurried up to get dressed and put on my makeup. Tada~ what do you think?

I directly headed to the party instead of watching the parade in the rain. I saw a number of people who were taking a train to move from west to east side.

The majority of people who are over 21 years old usually celebrate Halloween at a bar or a club or a private house party after the parade. I RSVP’d to one wine bar near Spring Street at which the parade ended.

I asked these two ladies to pose for me. Yeah, she is ready to dive in!

She represented Amelia, who is an American aviation pioneer. Recently the movie Amelia was released.

He was dressed up as a dwarf from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But it was funny that big figured person was acting like a tiny dwarf.

I guess this guy was promoting the website or was dressed up as an elementary particle in physics.

While I was running to another bar, I saw little angels in the doorway. I could not pass without capturing the moment.

I “met” one of my favorite designers, Karl Lagerfeld.

He is my friend, Wil, dressed up as Alex from A Clockwork Orange. He put on mascara on his right eye to exaggerate the character’s uneven eyes. I loved the detail and I laughed at his so-so British accent.

Even though the main purpose of Halloween is diluted, the holiday gives people the opportunity to express themselves and enjoy the escape from the daily life. Plus, you can enjoy sweetness of the “trick or treat.”
