WB2000(TL350) Function -01. Interval Shooting

When was the last time you took pictures?

Me, I am busy taking my WB2000(TL350) camera around with me everywhere I go.

Anyone not familiar with what WB2000(TL350) is?

Why don’t I make a short intro before I move on.

WB1000, with its 24mm super wide angle lens, optical 5X Schneider lens, full manual and 3 inch AMOLED screen,coupled with sleek design, was a major hit.

WB2000(TL350) is the next version of WB1000 and as follow-up versions generally do, it is a significant upgrade of the previous WB1000. Of course, the features are much more diverse as well.

Today, I will walk you through the variety features of the WB2000(TL350) camera and how to make best use of it!

Voila, today’s topic! ‘Interval shooting’.

Interval shooting is where you set the desired shooting interval and number of shots so that the camera automatically takes the pictures.

You can often see such type of pictures in TV documentaries or movies.

You know, the scene of flower blooming or construction site, which typically take long, flowing at an accelerated speed.

One of the biggest benefits of interval shooting is that you can record the changes to the subject with one set up.

And with WB2000(TL350), you can do this.

So, shall we take a look at how to use the function?

First, rotate the dial on the upper right hand side of the camera and set to ‘M’ mode.

Once set to ‘M’ mode, turn the quick dial on the right hand side of the product and you will find the following functions.

You will see the following icons. Let me start from the left.

1) Bracket : Improves minor exposure in the photo

2) Free capture: Displays photos of moments.

3) Interval shooting

4) Normal shooting

5) Timer: Press the shutter for photo shooting in 2 or 10 seconds

6) Burst mode: 3, 5, 10 frame shots per second

And select Interval mode here.

Once the quick set up is done, press the Menu button on the right hand side of the AMOLED screen.

Go to the menu for the camera image and select Interval.

If you go into the Interval menu, you can set the interval and no. of shots.

‘Interval’: Set up the total shooting time

‘No. of shots’ : No. of shots to be taken during the selected time frame.

You can see on the upper right hand corner of the screen which indicates that interval shooting is ready.

Oh! Once the setting is done, don’t forget to turn off the power without adjusting the focus, aperture and shutter speed.

If you turn on/off at automatic set up, the camera will immediately return to normal mode if other setting or functions have changed.

Using the interval shooting function of WB2000(TL350), I took pictures of the beautiful flowers sitting next to the window.

I used quite long intervals for this one. If you shorten the interval, the changes will be slower.

With the photos, I make a quick GIF animation. How do you like it? You can easily observe the changes to the flower, right? Try one for yourself!

After the Carnival in Brazil

Generally, the Carnival (Carnaval) holiday in Brazil is a time for a free fantasy. Many people moving across the country to take rest or to play carnival in places where there are parades and crowds of people, as Salvador, Recife and Rio de Janeiro. Here in São Paulo the city become empty, despite that we have a carnival parade.

I decide to take a rest here and start using my new Samsung Compact Camera ST550, and the pictures needed to show the work of São Paulo’s carnival after parade.

Why?  Because everyone thinks just about the parade and don’t realize what happens after it!

The schools of samba keep all cars with allegory in one place until the result of the carnival competition is announced on the Tuesday afternoon carnival in São Paulo. There is a kind of ceremony where long lines are armed in sambódromo site. Tents are armed position where the representatives of each school, which will annotate the notes as they are being disseminated, making the calculations. The chairman of the league makes the final considerations about the carnival that year, reads the possible loss of points given to each school, and then start reading the notes.

After the result of this competition is announced the best schools of samba parade again in Sambódromo, at the end of the week following the carnival. This parade has no competitive character, it is only a kind of festival to crown the year’s best schools, where the parade foliões can more carefree with questions.

To provide a parade is necessary at least 10 months working that is shown in just 80 minutes and after this all work done become obsolete, without use.

New mirrorless camera NX10 is introduced in WDC

Whatdigitalcamera.com editor Nigel Atherton spent a couple of hours with NX10 and was very impressed. He took a video introducing NX10 with explanations.
He introduced that NX10 is the first camera in the company’s new Hybrid system, and features a 14.6 MP CMOS sensor and 3.0inch AMOLED screen, plus a choice of three lenses, He especially focused on the various functions such as different ISO modes, full HD mode, and video.

Luckily, I have ST550(TL225) in gold

Samsung ST550(TL225) finally lifted its veil! When I received it, I was speechless: It looked better than I thought! Now my review time!

I loved so much the sharp shaped design and solidness! I luckily could have a gold color: I heard that the gold color is not produced in south Korea.

This image is from the top! There are few buttons as it is a full touch screen.

One remarkable thing! The memory card is so small that it goes into a cellphone!

Having so many functions and modes, this gives you so much fun!

At the bottom of the camera, there is a charger connecting part.

The charm of ST550(TL225)!! Dual LCD! When you tap on the front, the small screen turns on. Best for self shot!! This mode shows animations so it is easy to take a picture of children making them focus on. I haven’t taken a lot of pictures yet but you could sure expect a lot from this camera!
