Samsung has launched the microsite of the SH100, a compact Wi-Fi enabled camera, which allows you to SHOOT, SYNC, SHARE your pictures over the internet and social networks with friends and family. So here’s what you can see from this microsite:

 

In ‘THE RAP’ menu, George Watsky, a poet and rapper from San Fransisco known for his speedy flow, will guide you through the features of the SH100. Yes, the world’s fastest HOW-TO GUIDE! Listen carefully so that you don’t miss out on any features the SH100 has to offer!

Did you enjoy happy Valentine? I hope you did.
I visited department store, just to buy some souvenirs for my family and friends, not for Valentine. Japanese people call the corner that sells food ‘depachika’. You can guess, ‘depa’ comes from department, and what is ‘chika’? Chika means underground. Yes, there are usually food corner on the underground floor at department store. Depachika is a very attractive world, so I recommend you go there and try to eat some Japanese sweets when you visit Japan.

I’ve heard Aoyama is the most beautiful one of them this year, so I went there to take pictures the scenery. Unfortunately, it was prohibited cross the pedestrian overpass, so I couldn’t take overlooking views. It was crowded with people shopping and taking photos.

I didn’t controlled anything with my camera, I just fixed to SMART function, which was automatically well-controlled according to the lightness, distances to the subjects. It was really convenient.

New Year Day is considered by most Japanese to be one of the most important annual festivals and has been celebrated for centuries with its own unique customs.

ST5500(CL80) wins iF material award 2010!

Samsung Electronics is honored to say that Samsung’s five products got a prize and were selected in the iF material award. Moreover, ST5500(CL80) was chosen in Product categories.

The iF material award, bestowed by the International Forum Design, awards outstanding design in the categories material and appliance, processing, ideas and products.

The ST5500(CL80) adopts a design with an undercut in two or more areas to enhance usability from an ergonomic perspective. The undercut design is difficult to create with a single execution of the existing press process.

“Hydroforming”, a way of shaping metals using high pressure hydraulic fluid, enables the design of complicated forms with an undercut based on a single process. “Hydroforming technology” has been specially improved and applied for the realization of this design concept. “Hydroforming technology” has enhanced the value of ST5500(CL80) by enabling environment-friendly manufacturing, based on reduction of energy and an ergonomic design.

Some psychologist say: “ when your woman suddenly decides that a nice shoulder length bob would flatter her more, or worse, comes home out of the blue one day with all her hair hacked off, look out”

They say that every time when woman decide to cut her hair means she is going through something very emotional, very unpleasant, and more than likely, something very much related to men.

In my case…well i really had need for something new, something fresh, some kind of “new me”. Maybe you cannot live from perfect job or see all places you’re dreaming about, or buy every peace of clothes you

When you’re kind of “chica” like me, you can get bored quite easily, and get amused even more eaasily. With my beautiful Samsung ST550(TL225) and marvelous options for photo edition i realised that cutting hair and making “new me” was just right step to do! How i know that? Well, after month since i cut my hair i still get thrilled when i see my new look in the mirror and get inspiration to make new portraits and see how i look like in BW or Sepia or…like Cleopatra?! Lol Maybe males around you will be shocked in a first moment and look at you very strange (as you can see on this photo☺ ) but they will get used eventually.

The release of slim camera ST5500(CL80)/ST5000(TL240)

SamsungDigitalImaging recently announced the release of ultra-slim(1.96mm thick) compact camera ST5500(CL80) and ST5000(TL240) that strengthen user’s convenience.

Their body is accented by fluid, hydro-formed lines. Hydro-forming technology is generally used for auto parts, and Samsungimaging adopted the hydro-forming technology for the first time in this field.

ST5500(CL80)’s features include 14.2 megapixel quality, 7x optical zoom power Schneider KREUZNACH lens, and Slanted Shutter. It also provides brilliant 1,152K high-resolution images through a vivid 3.5” TFT Touch LCD. Plus, its self-standing Posture 7° physique makes taking those tricky self-portraits a snap.

As for its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0, they’re both DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance) compliant and can be used to display images on networked media players and HDTVs.  Alternatively the Wi-Fi connection can be used to upload images and video to Facebook, YouTube and Picasa, among other sites. you can also email images and video directly from the ST5500(CL80)’s 3.5” TFT touch screen, which supports “the qwerty keyboard” input.

ST5500(CL80) also provides smart functions such as Smart Gesture UI, Dual Image Stabilization, Smart Auto 2.0 (Still & Movie) and Smart Filter. Smart Gesture UI is built-in acceleration sensor turns your gestures into commands. For example, users can delete photos by drawing an “X” on the screen without button.

ST5000(TL240) features all functions of ST5500(CL80) except wireless service with 3.5” TFT LCD screen. Both models will be come in Black and Orange.

After the Carnival in Brazil

Generally, the Carnival (Carnaval) holiday in Brazil is a time for a free fantasy. Many people moving across the country to take rest or to play carnival in places where there are parades and crowds of people, as Salvador, Recife and Rio de Janeiro. Here in São Paulo the city become empty, despite that we have a carnival parade.

I decide to take a rest here and start using my new Samsung Compact Camera ST550, and the pictures needed to show the work of São Paulo’s carnival after parade.

Why?  Because everyone thinks just about the parade and don’t realize what happens after it!

The schools of samba keep all cars with allegory in one place until the result of the carnival competition is announced on the Tuesday afternoon carnival in São Paulo. There is a kind of ceremony where long lines are armed in sambódromo site. Tents are armed position where the representatives of each school, which will annotate the notes as they are being disseminated, making the calculations. The chairman of the league makes the final considerations about the carnival that year, reads the possible loss of points given to each school, and then start reading the notes.

After the result of this competition is announced the best schools of samba parade again in Sambódromo, at the end of the week following the carnival. This parade has no competitive character, it is only a kind of festival to crown the year’s best schools, where the parade foliões can more carefree with questions.
