Samsung’s YouTube-compatible camcorder, SMX-F34 honored as “Best Entry Level Camcorder” at this year’s TIPA Awards 2009


The Samsung SMX-F34 was recently honored as “Best Entry Level Camcorder” at this year Technical Imagine Press Association 2009(hereinafter called: TIPA), held from 2-4 April 2009 in Budapest, Hungary.
“This is one of the most prestigious recognitions a manufacturer serving the digital imaging industry can receive,” said Sang Ryong Kim, Senior Vice President of Camcorder Business Team at Samsung Electronics. “It’s an honor to have such an esteemed panel recognize the SMX-F34 as the best in its class.”
The Samsung SMX-F34 is a new edge-cutting compact digital camera, built on the success of the company’s well-received SC-MX20 camcorder. Other than the Samsung SC-MX20, the Samsung SMX-F34 provides additional functionality, including build-in memory and digital still photo capability. Plus, in a departure of convention, Samsung equipped the SMX-F34 with the 42x Intelli-Zoom function, allowing users to go beyond the camera’s 34x optical zoom without deteriorating the overall image quality.
Additionally, the Samsung SMX-F34 ranks among the very first digital camcorders to apply H.264 compression to standard definition video , which considerably extends record times.
The Samsung SMX-F34 is available is four colors (Midnight Black, Sunset Red, Galaxy Silver, and Deep Ocean Blue) and is planned to be available for sales in Spring 2009.
